2023 Law Students

Pierce Couch welcomes our 2023 Law Students Sophia Silvernail, Kaleb Hudson, and Laura Hoehner.

They are joining Madison Hague and Makayla Gunter to form an amazing team here at Pierce Couch.

Sophia Silvernail is a rising 3L at the University of Oklahoma College of Law where she serves on the Judiciary Committee of Oklahoma Law Review. Sophia is interested in healthcare law and is currently working towards a Masters in Health Administration along with her law degree as part of OU’s JD/MHA dual degree program. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in History and a minor in Sociology. In her free time, Sophia likes to travel and read.

Kaleb Hudson is a rising 2L at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in History. Kaleb is a former Intelligence Specialist in the US Navy, and served on active duty in South Korea, and Phoenix Arizona. Kaleb enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and is an award winning mead maker.

Laura Hoehner is a rising 2L at the University of Oklahoma College of Law where she serves on the Board of Advocates and is involved in advocacy, negotiation, and traveling competitions. Laura is interested in healthcare law, specifically medical malpractice. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a minor in Sports Management. Laura enjoys running, playing tennis, and baking.

Madison Hague is a rising 3L at Oklahoma City University. She currently serves as Vice President of the Health Law Association, and is pursuing a certificate in Healthcare Law. Madison graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. In her free time, Madison enjoys attending yoga classes, walking her dog, and spending time with her family.

Makayla Gunter is a rising 3L at Oklahoma City University where she serves as an Assistant Resource Editor for the Law Review. She is pursuing a certificate in Healthcare Law and serves as a member of the Health Law Association. She graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Science in Leadership Psychology. During her time at Southern Nazarene, she competed in both volleyball and softball. Makayla enjoys songwriting, cooking, and going on walks with her husband, Alex.
