Defense Verdict

Jerry Green and Hailey Hopper recently secured a unanimous defense verdict in a premises liability matter involving a 2012 injury on an indoor amusement ride.  The three day jury trial took place in Oklahoma County before Judge Susan Stallings.  Plaintiff alleged a permanent injury as a result of the incident and sought compensation for her medical bills and for mental and physical pain and suffering.  The defense argued that the defendant had no notice of the hazardous condition despite exercising ordinary care in maintaining the ride, and denied the nature and extent of the Plaintiff’s claimed injuries.  Ultimately, the jury found no liability on the part of the defendant.  Pierce Couch attorneys are honored that our clients trust us with taking cases to trial when circumstances warrant and we are proud of this outcome after litigating this case for more than five years!
