Makayla focuses her practice on Workers’ Compensation insurance defense. She joined Pierce Couch in 2022 as a Law Clerk while attending Oklahoma City University School of Law, and became an Associate Attorney after earning her J.D. in 2024.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, where she was a student-athlete competing in both volleyball and softball. Before entering law school, Makayla also earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership.
During law school, she concentrated her coursework on the intersection of law and medicine, earning a specialized Certificate in Healthcare Law. Her continued interest in medicine and human health enhances her approach to Workers’ Compensation defense, where she is committed to providing thoughtful and diligent representation.
