Attorney Profiles

Scott is a partner in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. He is an Oklahoma native, born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Scott received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma State University in 1986, majoring in Finance with minors in both Accounting and Economics. He thereafter attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1988. Scott first began his practice with Pierce Couch Hendrickson Baysinger & Green in 1986, working through graduation as a law clerk and then as a legal intern. After taking up permanent residence in Oklahoma City, he began working with the firm as an associate attorney in 1989 and is currently a full equity partner. Scott has been married to Julie A. Law, a photographer, since 1991 and together they have three children.

Scott concentrates his practice on the representation of multi-national corporations and insurance carriers in energy, products liability, environmental/toxic tort, transportation and professional liability litigation. He also represents many local companies and individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation, general business/commercial and administrative matters. Scott’s trial experience began within weeks of being sworn in to practice as first chair counsel in a single party bodily injury action and continues today as lead counsel in mass tort trials involving a multiple of products and hundreds of parties. Over the course of almost two decades of litigation, Scott’s natural attraction to the courtroom has allowed him the opportunity to become immersed in a broad spectrum of cases and clients.

Over the past several years, Scott’s experience in litigation and trial practice has been enhanced by his active involvement in USLAW Network, Inc., a national organization composed of 61 independent AV-rated law firms throughout the United States who become members by invitation only after a rigorous review process to insure their outstanding quality. Pierce Couch Hendrickson Baysinger & Green is the only firm in the State of Oklahoma to have become a member in USLAW.
